Sharing All the World

Today's the day John Lennon died thirty years ago on the NY sidewalk outside his apartment. That's not a happy thought but there are plenty of happy or at least inspiring thoughts in his music. The two verses below from Lennon's probably most famous song, Imagine, touch the beauty of a sustainable world.  It's heavily idealistic stuff and only a pop song after all, but we're allowed to dream aren't we?

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
